Mongolia marked the first World Horse Day with 15,000 horsemen, traditional competitions, and international guests following President Khurelsukh's initiative adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.

He emphasized that the United Nations’ decision to observe July 11 as “World Horse Day” every year represents global recognition of the role and contribution of horses to nomadic heritage and the history of humanity. The event also featured Mongolian wrestling, the President’s Cup horse selection, races for young and joroo horses, and a gathering of 500 horses.
