Economic Development: Meeting on accurate agricultural data collection

A coordination meeting was held on Tuesday at the Kachin State Government Office to ensure the accuracy of agricultural data for the 2025-2026 period.

The meeting focused on collecting accurate data on rice and other crops' cultivation areas and yields. Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan emphasized the importance of accurate data for the country's economic growth and urged officials to collect data based on real conditions, using the most reliable sources, including farmers.

The meeting also discussed the proper collection of agricultural statistics, particularly for monsoon and summer rice, and other crops, to support sound economic planning. The Chief Minister highlighted the need for collaboration to ensure the integrity of the data, which is vital for the country’s development.
