Work Undertakings: Temporary market and road projects in Nay Pyi Taw

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo on Friday, visited Ahara Thukha Market in Pyinmana Township, where temporary shops have been set up after a recent fire.

He viewed the condition of the stalls and cleanup work, and instructed officials to prevent future fires, rebuild permanent shops as soon as possible, raise fire safety awareness among vendors, and maintain cleanliness and proper drainage in the market.

In the evening, the council chairman inspected the upgrading of Lewe H1 Road, which is being expanded from a two-lane 24ft-wide concrete road to a four-lane 48ft-wide road. He urged for soonest completion, strict adherence to quality standards, workplace safety, and ensuring to withstand natural disasters. The 1.943-mile project is being implemented by three companies and is about 75 percent complete. He also inspected the asphalt paving work on the roads in Dekkhinathiri Township, and instructed officials to ensure long-term durability, quality materials, and close supervision.
