The Ministry of Electric Power has announced new electricity tariff adjustments, effective from February 1, 2026. For Industrial and Special Economic Zones, electricity from Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered plants will be provided without interruption, and the rate will be 900 kyats per unit.

Non-residential users outside these zones will also pay 900 kyats per unit if they request 24-hour uninterrupted service. For households, the rates remain unchanged with incremental pricing based on consumption, with the first 50 units cost 50 kyats each, while consumption above 200 units costs 300 kyats per unit.
