Market Fire: 240 market stalls destroyed at fire incident in Pyinmana

A fire broke out at Ahara Thukha Market in KinpunTan Village of Pyinmana Township in Nay Pyi Taw, at around 8:40 PM on February 25.

The fire reportedly started due to overheating of a security LED light in Market Hall (C), which fell onto a tarpaulin roof of a grocery shop and caused the fire. As a result, 240 market stalls were damaged and destroyed. Nay Pyi Taw.

A total of 35 fire engines, including Level-2 fire engines and water tankers, were used to control the fire. The fire was brought under control at around 9:25 PM and completely extinguished by 10:00 PM. Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, along with concerned officials, supervised the situation.
