







A coordination meeting regarding the teaching of industrial, agricultural, and livestock subjects was held on February 2 at the Ministry of Education, Office No. (13), in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was attended by Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Min Naung, Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Deputy Ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing, along with Directors-General and other relevant officials.
At the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein opened the discussion stating that the Grade-12 curriculum will be redrawn for the upcoming academic year through inter-ministerial coordination. The National Curriculum Committee within the Ministry of Education will be reconstituted, with a Deputy Minister serving as the Chairman.
Following the guidance of the Head of State, industrial, agricultural, and livestock subjects will be integrated into the middle school level. These subjects are slated to begin in June 2026. The Union Minister urged officials to finalize curricula on time, organize multiplier trainings for teachers, and determine specific teaching schedules.
Next, Union Minister U Min Naung discussed the specific frameworks for teaching agricultural and livestock subjects. Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw provided insights on the implementation of industrial and technical subjects. Deputy Ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing presented details on ensuring these subjects are integrated smoothly and that examinations are conducted successfully.
Directors-General and officials reported on the progress of decisions made during the first coordination meeting. The Union Ministers provided necessary coordination for the next steps. In her closing remarks, the Minister for Education expressed her confidence that through continued cooperation, the upcoming Grade-12 examinations covering both basic education and vocational (industrial, agricultural, and livestock) streams will be conducted successfully, it’s reported.
