






The opening ceremony for the Early Childhood Care and Development Teacher Training Course for Primary School Teachers was held on January 28, at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein stated that this course was collaboratively developed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. The curriculum systematically integrates the comprehensive development curricula for preschool-aged children from the Social Welfare Department with the curricula from the Department of Educational Research, Planning, and Training.
It is designed to train teachers for KG and Grade-1 students. She expressed hope that the theoretical and practical methods gained from this course would be effectively utilized in the future to support the holistic development of children in their respective regions and to benefit families, communities, and the nation.
Following this, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Dr. Soe Win delivered a speech. The Early Childhood Care and Development Teacher Training Course for Primary School Teachers (Batch No. 1) is being conducted with a total of 76 trainees including 46 teachers from basic education schools in Nay Pyi Taw and the Regions/States under the Ministry of Education, and 30 teachers from preschools under the Social Welfare Department. The training period is 10 days, and four more batches of the course will be conducted between January and April 2026.
