Paying Homage to Sayadawgyi: MDY CM paid homage to Sitagu Sayadawgyi

Mandalay Region Chief Minister, U Myo Aung, and members of Region Government paid respect to the State Ovadacariya, 16th Sangharaja of Shwe Kyin Sangha Niyaka, Chancellor of the Sitagu World Buddhist Universities and Sitagu Hospitals, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru, Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhammajotika, Dr. Bhaddanta Ñāṇissara at the Mahamuni Buddha Image in Mandalay in the evening on January 28.

First, the State Ovadacariya, Sitagu Sayadawgyi paid homage to the Mahamuni Buddha Image. Following this, the Region Chief Minister and responsible officials reported to the Sayadaw on the completion status of the reconstruction and renovation of the Gandhakuti or Shrine Hall, and other religious structures damaged by the Mandalay earthquake, as well as matters related to the offering of the diamond bud, the ornamental Pennant-shaped Vane, and the golden umbrellas, and the successful holding of the Buddha Bhiseka consecration ceremony. They then received guidance from the Sayadaw. The State Ovadacariya, Sitagu Sayadawgyi, also toured and inspected the site, it’s reported.
