

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has underscored the role of the tourism industry as a powerful tool in shaping global perceptions, fostering trust, and promoting cultural values and international cooperation.
The Prime Minister made these remarks while participating in a high-level tourism dialogue held on the sidelines of the world economic forum in Davos, Switzerland. The discussion took place at the euro news center in Davos under the guidance of the world economic forum and was attended by senior policymakers, industry leaders, and representatives from multiple countries.
Addressing the forum, Prime Minister Amarasuriya said Sri Lanka offers a strong case study in rebuilding hope and resilience amid ongoing global crises. She outlined how the country successfully revitalized its tourism sector following the impact of cyclone Ditwah.
