North Korean leader attends meeting of military commanders

North Korea's state broadcaster KCTV on Saturday showed leader Kim Jong Un attending the third meeting of company leaders of the Korean People's Army at the Pyongyang Gymnasium between Oct 22 and 23.

During the event, Kim urged his military to train to become the strongest in the world at a two-day meeting of company commanders. The Pyongyang event was aimed at developing a plan "to train the strongest armed forces in the world," Kim said. He also called for "all the companies" of the North's army to be "turned into a strong elite unit in military and technical aspects and consolidated into perfect combat forces".
