












Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, together with state government members and departmental officials, inspected development projects in Kyaukphyu Township on December 3. They first visited the household voter list verification process carried out by the Township Election Sub-Commission.
The Chief Minister discussed and coordinated necessary measures with the officials. They then inspected the KSW bird’s nest production business, where the owner explained the production process and local distribution. The Chief Minister provided suggestions for further improvement.
Next, the Chief Minister and party observed the road paving works on Office Road, and the Southeast Asia Oil and Gas Pipeline Project on Maday Island. They also viewed the sports facilities prepared for staff working within the project area, as well as the jetty where oil tankers dock.
At the project meeting hall, officials briefed the Chief Minister on annual oil and gas export operations, job opportunities for locals, and community development programs. In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and party visited Nagar Pariyatti Sarthintaik and donated offertories to the members of the Sangha.
They also visited the Basic Education High School No. (1), meeting Grade-12 students and providing reading lamps for the school library. They also viewed solar water pumps and the school sports ground. Afterward, the Chief Minister met with district and township officials, teachers, and community leaders at Rammawati Hall.
Officials presented updates on local development and departmental cooperation. The Chief Minister provided rice and basic foodstuff to departmental staff and urged all sectors to work together for the district’s development. He also highlighted ongoing programs, including solar streetlights, library development, educational materials, and installation of solar power systems at the 200-bed Kyauk Phyu District Hospital.
On December 4, the Chief Minister discussed compensation plans for farmland that will be affected by the construction of the Kyauktan (1) and (2) reservoirs on Maday Island.
