Review Meeting: Reviewing the State Economic Promotion Fund's projects

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan on September 9 attended a meeting to review projects being implemented with the State Economic Promotion Fund to support agriculture, livestock breeding, regional development and MSME businesses.

The meeting discussed loans provided under the first, second and third funding cycles, including repayments of principal and interest. Officials said the fund managed by the state committee had increased from 8 billion kyats to 10 billion kyats, and plans to reinvest an additional 2 billion kyats were also discussed. The meeting also reviewed requests for additional funding from existing projects and new project proposals from different townships, in line with the fund’s procedures.
