Passing Out Parade : Graduation of the 27th Intake of DSTA

Passing Out Parade of the 27th Intake of Defence Services Technological Academy was held at the venue in Pyin Oo Lwin on Friday.

Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the event. On his arrival, the Senior General took the salute of the cadet columns and inspected the graduation cadet column.

Then, the cadet columns marched past the Senior General, who later presented awards to the outstanding cadets in versatility, training and literature. In his speech, the Senior General said said the Engineering Corps has long supported the Army, Navy, and Air Force, not only in military operations but also in nationwide construction works, infrastructure, roads and bridges, and emergency response.

He urged graduating officers to master engineering skills, military strategy, leadership, and modern technologies. The Senior General stressed that today’s warfare increasingly uses advanced systems, drones, counter-drone tactics, cyber security, and artificial intelligence.

He called on officers to keep learning, adapt to rapid technological change, and innovate in line with the academy’s motto: “Discipline, Innovation, Excellence.” He also noted the military’s role in disaster response, referring to recent earthquake relief efforts, and highlighted the importance of building earthquake-resistant structures following engineering standards.

Regarding national affairs, he said the multi-party democratic general election, scheduled to begin on December 28, must be successful. He urged all eligible voters to participate and encouraged officers to help ensure security and prevent disturbances in their respective areas.

The Senior General called on new engineering officers to uphold military discipline, leadership ethics, and the core values of the Defence Services, and to contribute to building a strong, modern Tatmadaw and supporting the country’s move toward a federal democratic union.

The  Senior General later left the parade ground after receiving the salute of the cadet columns. After the parade, the Senior General met with the outstanding cadets and thier parents, and spoke words of honour.
