







Myanmar petanque and boxing athletes currently in training camps for the 33rd SEA Games underwent skill assessments on June 26. These assessments were held concurrently with the 2025 International Olympic Day commemorative sports competitions and award ceremonies at the petanque grounds and boxing gymnasium in Nay Pyi Taw.
First, the Union Minister watched the finals of the Men's and Women's Singles Event in petanque. Following the matches, an award ceremony took place, where Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung and other officials presented cash prizes to the winners.
Subsequently, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung and officials, along with the President of the Myanmar Boxing Federation, attended the 2025 International Olympic Day commemorative boxing competitions at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium's boxing training facility. They observed the men's and women's weight-category bouts.
After the competitions, award ceremony was held, where the Director-General of the Sports and Physical Education Department, the President of the Myanmar Boxing Federation, the Deputy Minister, and the Union Minister presented cash prizes to the winning athletes.
The Union Minister then met with the administrators and coaches. He instructed them to review the athletes' endurance, weaknesses, and strengths. He emphasized the need for improving stamina, ensuring correct techniques, and achieving precise hits, urging them to implement necessary adjustments and training to enhance these aspects.
