







In Kachin State, the 2025 matriculation exams have been peacefully conducted since June 16 at 22 exam centers across 12 townships.
On June 20, the fifth day of exams, students sat for Physics and History subjects. Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, along with officials, visited No. (4) Basic Education High School in Myitkyina to observe and encourage students.
Security teams, teachers, and volunteers ensured safety and discipline at the exam centers. Students and their parents were also greeted and encouraged by the officials. As of the fifth day, 8,582 out of 8,696 registered students were present at the exams, with 7,102 taking Physics and 1,480 taking History.
Later, the Chief Minister attended the opening ceremony of the U-23 Men’s Sepak Takraw Tournament, held in celebration of International Olympic Day. He encouraged the players to learn through teamwork and fair play. 26 teams are participating in the tournament.
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and officials also visited the taekwondo athletes representing Kachin State in upcoming competitions. He handed over the victory flag and support funds of 3.8 million kyat cash assistance, urging them to strive for success and bring pride to the state.
