Online financial fraud in Muse: Suspects including Chinese nationals to be taken action

On June 16, at 2:00 PM, acting on a tip-off, a joint security force including members of the Myanmar Police Force conducted a search and inspection with witnesses in Swam Saw Ward and Kaung Mu Tone Ward of Muse Township, where Chinese and Myanmar nationals were allegedly collaborating on online financial fraud operations. 

During the search and inspection, they entered the house of the homeowner (under investigation) at house number (Ma Sa-400) in Swam Saw Ward, Muse. There, they found and arrested 40 male Chinese nationals, 33 male Myanmar nationals, and 10 female Myanmar nationals involved in illegal online financial fraud.

Seized along with them were 120 miscellaneous mobile phones, 86 miscellaneous computers, 3 WiFi routers, and one Crown motor vehicle. Similarly, inside the house of the homeowner (under investigation) at house number (Ha Na-8) in Kaung Mu Tone Ward, they found and arrested one male Chinese national, 26 male Myanmar nationals, and 28 female Myanmar nationals involved in illegal online financial fraud.

Seized from this location were 16 miscellaneous computers, 334 miscellaneous mobile phones, 3 WiFi routers, one Crown motor vehicle, and one TOYOTA LANDCRUISER motor vehicle. It is reported that necessary actions are being taken to effectively prosecute the 41 male Chinese nationals, 59 male Myanmar nationals, and 38 female Myanmar nationals arrested in the aforementioned incidents in accordance with the law.
