






Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, accompanied by Deputy Ministers and responsible officials, visited No. 6 Basic Education High School Examination Center in Zabuthiri Township in the morning on June 17. There, they observed students peacefully taking the English subject exam on the second day of the 2025 Matriculation Examination.
The Union Minister first met and warmly encouraged students who had come to sit for the matriculation exam, as well as parents and guardians who had accompanied them.
He then proceeded to Basic Education High School No. 14 and 22 in Zabuthiri Township, where he observed students calmly sitting for the exam. He toured the school campuses, inspected the examination processes, and provided necessary support where needed.
For today’s examination, a total of 12,531 students had registered to sit for the exam at 47 centers across the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw. Of those, 12,406 sat for the English subject, resulting in a participation rate of 99.00%.
Across the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Kachin State, Sagaing Region, and Mandalay Region, a total of 63,673 students had registered to take the English subject on the second day of the Matriculation Examination at 195 examination centers across 29 districts and 58 townships. Among them, 62,800 students actually sat for the exam, amounting to a participation rate of 98.63%, it’s reported.
