At the event, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin stated that the accounting vocational training centres are intended for students who have completed Grade 9 of basic education and face difficulties in continuing their formal education, so they can earn a livelihood through accounting skills. These training courses are being simultaneously launched at five accounting vocational training centres across Myanmar, with a focus on hands-on, practical lessons that are vital for the professional field.
Following this, the Chief Minister presented an award to the outstanding student from the 2024–2025 academic year and provided school supplies to first-year students for the new academic year.
Furthermore, the Chief Justice of the Regional High Court and region ministers presented honorary cash awards to outstanding students and personnel of Cooperatives Department. A student representative then expressed thanks on behalf of the trainees.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, a total of 96 students including 66 in the first year and 30 in the second year are enrolled. The first-year training course is set to begin on June 16, and, similar to basic education schools, will run for nine months, from early June to February.
