Boosting Oil Crop Yields: Sagaing Region Holds Coordination Meeting

A coordination meeting to promote target yields of sesame and sunflower was held at the Sagaing Region Government Office on Saturday.

Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw emphasized the importance of achieving target yields for 10 major crops in the region, especially sesame and sunflower, to ensure local oil sufficiency. He urged departments and administrative bodies to work closely with farmers and incorporate these crops into farming systems where suitable.

Officials presented updates on current cultivation efforts and discussed action plans for achieving production goals and ongoing activities. The Chief Minister concluded the meeting by calling for continued collaboration and follow-up actions based on the discussions.
