






To commemorate the Pearl Jubilee 30th Anniversary of the Ministry of Immigration and Population, which falls on June 15, 2025, a collective blood donation ceremony was held at the meeting hall (2) of 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital in the morning on June 12.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, deputy ministers, and officials.
At the event, healthcare staff conducted blood pressure checks, blood typing, and recorded donor information using modern technology for the participating staff who came to donate blood. Next, the Union Ministers encouraged the staff who were actively donating blood in the hall. They also provided the donors with nutritional supplements and cash assistance.
Following the blood donation ceremony, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing donated 2.5 million kyats to cover a day's meal expenses for patients receiving treatment at Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital, along with 36 sets of PPE suits.
The donations were accepted by Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, who also presented a certificate of honor in return. In commemoration of the Pearl Jubilee Anniversary of the Ministry of Immigration and Population, a total of 503 staff members participated in the collective blood donation ceremonies held in the morning on June 12.
Among them were 85 staff from the headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw and the Union Territory Office, and 418 staff from respective offices across various Regions/States, Districts, and Townships, who donated blood at their respective public hospitals.
