









Union Minister for Health, Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, attended a donation ceremony held at Office No. 4 of the Ministry of Health in Nay Pyi Taw on June 9. The ceremony was organized for accepting donations from donors to repair hospital buildings and laboratories damaged by the recent Mandalay earthquake.
At the ceremony, representatives from the donor organizations explained the reasons behind their contributions. During the donation ceremony, 1.048 billion Kyats to repair hospital buildings at the Nay Pyi Taw Children’s Specialist Hospital and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Hospital, which were damaged by the earthquake donated by Myanmar-China Chamber of Commerce, 113 million kyats to repair the maternity ward and operation theatre of the Nay Pyi Taw Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital by Myanmar-China Philanthropic Association, 78.175 million kyats to repair the laboratory of the Food and Drug Administration which was also damaged by the earthquake by Myanmar Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Entrepreneurs Association, 95 million for two modular offices to be used by the Department of Public Health jointly donated by Medi-Health Co., Ltd and Drug International Ltd and 15 million kyats by Myanmar-China Women’s Association.
The Union Minister and responsible officials accepted the donations, presented certificates of honor to the donors, and the Union Minister expressed his words of appreciation.
