Inspection Tour: Union Minister inspects sports facilities in Yangon

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung and officials visited Myanmar Yachting Federation in Yangon on 7th June. 

The Union Minister said that efforts should be made to achieve success in the upcoming 33rd SEA Games. He called for cooperation of all selected athletes for gaining achievement. The Federation later spoke at the meeting, followed by the preparation for 33rd SEA Games by the Vice-Chairman. 

The meeting discussed the preparation measures for 33rd SEA Games and selection of attendees for 6th OCA Athletes Forum. Afterwards, the Union Minister and party inspected the boat building workshop at the Myanmar Yatching Federation.

On 8th June, the Union Minister and party inspected the Nawarrat Football ground in ShwePyiTha township and instructed to upgrade the stages and maintain long-term durability and cleanliness. He also visited the Township Sports Hall to encourage the practicing of Myanmar Martial Arts. He also inspected the football ground, staff housings and offices.

Later, the Union Minister and party proceeded to the Sports and Physical Education Department in Dagon Myothit (North) Township and inspected the gymnasium, football ground, and land premises.
