





The Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe accompanied by Deputy Ministers and relevant officials, on 2nd June, visited basic education schools in Nay Pyi Taw to observe the opening of the 2025-2026 academic year and to encourage students as they began their studies in a peaceful environment.
The visit began at Basic Education High School No. 1 in Zeyathiri Township, where the students and teachers gathered in the school assembly ground to pay respects to the national flag, sing the national anthem, the Myanmar school song, and the Zartiman song. The school principal gave a welcoming speech.
The Union Minister then visited classrooms, engaging warmly with students and offering words of encouragement. Following this, the Union Minister proceeded to Basic Education High School (Pyi San Aung) in Zeyathiri Township, Basic Education and Technical, Agricultural, and Livestock High School No. 20 in Pubbathiri Township, and Basic Education High School No. 3, where he observed students studying in a peaceful and joyful environment.
He also ensured that the necessary resources for the schools were provided. Similarly, on June 2, basic education schools, universities, and education degree colleges across the Regions and States officially commenced the new academic year, with students attending classes in a calm and orderly manner. Additionally, arrangements were made to continue accepting late enrollments for students who had missed the initial registration period.
