





A paper reading session on Livestock Research was held at the Yezin University of Agriculture on Sunday. Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung attended the event, and made an opening speech, saying that the government is implementing for prosperity and food sufficiency in the state as two national goals.
Efforts are being made to establish Agro-based Industries through the production of value-added products while encouraging for MSME industries under One Region, One Product program. He called for participation of all entire nation in an effort for economic development of the nation through effective research works.
Under the title, Let’s conduct joint research for food sufficiency, the session was jointly organized by the Livestock and Veterinary Department, the Fishery Department and the University of Veterinary Science under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
A total of 55 research papers on animal feed nutrition for long term sustainability, animal health and disease control, food safety and production of value-added livestock product, sustainability livestock breedng system and livestock based socio-economy, were read out during the session.
