







Union Minister Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win, in the morning on May 29, paid homage to the Presiding Sayadaw of Thiladhamma Kone-Thar Tawya Monastery Bhaddanta Kovida (Wasipeik Sayadaw) in Kengtung Township and made offerings and cash donations.
Following that, he visited notable sites such as the Cherry Blossom Trail at Loi Mwe Mountain Camp, where the annual Cherry Blossom Festival is held, the Loi Mwe Century-old Mansion, and the Loi Mwe Lake.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the Kengtung Fountain and later attended and officiated a Community-Based Tourism (CBT) certificate awarding ceremony for Hoyan (Lwe) Village, a CBT site near the Kengtung Fountain.
Next, the Union Minister held a meeting with hotel operators at the meeting hall of Amazing Kengtung Resort, where he listened to their presentations and coordinated responses.
After the meeting, he inspected the operations and visitor arrival at the state-owned hotels of Amazing Kengtung Resort and Kengtung Paradise Hotel. He also visited the Kengtung Haw Palace, where he observed displays of items used during the Sawbwa era, historical photographs, and other related artifacts. He instructed that arrangements be made to systematically present these exhibits for both local and international tourists.
