




A ceremony to distribute household population lists and Citizenship Scrutinization Cards (CSCs) to internally displaced persons under Phase 3 of the Pankhin Project by the Sittwe Township office of the Ministry of Immigration and Population was held on May 29. The ceremony took place at the Sangharaja Vihara သံဃရာဇဝိဟာရ Monastery in Sittwe. Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, members of the State Government, departmental officials, and internally displaced persons from camps in Sittwe attended the event.
At the ceremony, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin stated that, of the 54 camps in Sittwe Township where internally displaced persons reside due to various reasons, a total of 481 ethnic nationals from 17 camps would be issued the Citizenship Scrutinization Cards and household population lists under Phase 3 of the Pankhin Project. He explained that with the issuance of the CSCs and household lists, families would now be able to travel and handle their personal affairs more easily.
Following that, Chief Minister U Htein Lin, the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs, and the State Director of the Ministry of Immigration and Population officially handed over the Citizenship Scrutinization Cards and household population lists to the internally displaced persons.
After the distribution, one of the card recipients expressed words of gratitude, and the Chief Minister and officials warmly met and greeted attendees of the ceremony.
