Tree planting ceremony: Taninthayi Region CM joined the planting of trees

Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, together with the Commander of Coastal Region Command, Region Ministers, and departmental officials, on May 29, attended the 2025 Pre-Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony held within the campus of Myeik University. They participated in the planting activities alongside other attendees in a joyful and cooperative manner.

First, the Chief Minister, Commander, Region Ministers, and responsible officials handed over saplings to the university rector, departmental representatives, and members of social organizations. Then, the Chief Minister, Commander, and Region Ministers planted the saplings together with the other participants.

A total of 1,210 saplings were planted during the ceremony by the Chief Minister, Commander, Region Ministers, officials from the Myeik District Administrative Body, district/township-level departmental personnel, the university rector, faculty members, students, trainees from the midwifery and domestic science training schools, and members of social organizations, all working together with a shared sense of purpose.

Following the planting, the Chief Minister and responsible officials observed and encouraged the participants. They also inspected the healthy, thriving trees planted during the 2024 Pre-Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony at the Myeik University campus.
