Observing school enrolment: Shan State CM observed school enrolment in Kengtung

To ensure continuous education for all school-age children, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, along with the commander of the Triangle Region Command and other responsible officials, visited No. (4) Basic Education High School in Ward (2), Kengtung Township, on May 27.

They observed the enrolment process of students for the 2025–2026 academic year by their parents and guardians. The officials also inspected the site designated for the construction of a new school building and gave necessary instructions regarding requirements.

Following this, the Chief Minister and officials visited Pan Hone Basic Education Middle School to observe the student enrolment process and inspected a newly constructed two-story classroom building. Upon discovering some deficiencies, the Chief Minister instructed the responsible officials to have the company in charge carry out the necessary repairs.

It was also reported that students enrolling for the 2025–2026 academic year are being provided with free textbooks, blank notebooks, pencils, ball pens, and school uniforms.

Additionally, the Chief Minister and officials visited the designated site for the Kengtung Livestock Breeding Zone located in the Hwe Kwe village tract in Kengtung Township, where they received a briefing from the Kengtung District Survey Department.

Later, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the planned site for the Kengtung –Loi Mwe Road expansion project. The Director of the Road Department of Shan State (East) explained the details of the road expansion, and the Chief Minister provided additional guidance and instructions to meet the necessary requirements.
