National Export Strategy: Government-Private Trade Council Meeting

The Government-Private Trade Council Meeting was held at the Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

During the meeting, Council Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo stated the need to make coordination among the government and private sectors in drafting the Plan of Actions (POA) for the selected sectors of National Export Strategy (2026-2030). He also highlighted the significant results of the council in negotiation with the Indian Government for Open General License permission for mung bean export.

Afterwards, Vice Chairman of the Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister U Win Shein  made a speech, followed by the clarification by Council Secretary Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn on the status of implementing the meeting minutes. The council members reported on sector wise work implementation, and the Council Chairman instructed to discuss the guidelines for export development and trade promotion.
