





In line with the directives of the Head of State, the Ministry of Science and Technology is actively working to support national development efforts by prioritizing the continuous emergence of skilled and competent young IT professionals who meet international standards and serve as a vital force for national progress.
On the morning of May 19, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Zeya visited the University of Information Technology under the Department of Advanced Science and Technology in Hlaing Township to inspect the progress of implementation based on the guidance given during the Head of State’s visit on March 14.
First, the Deputy Minister inspected the completion status of renovation works in the main building, the multipurpose hall, and the theater. He also reviewed the condition of cleanliness, beautification, and the general upkeep of the university campus.
Furthermore, he examined the readiness of classrooms, computer labs, the Networking Lab, Embedded Systems Lab, K-Lab, and the library to ensure everything is in place before the school reopens on June 2. He urged that the implementation must strictly adhere to the Head of State’s directives and be carried out systematically and precisely.
The Deputy Minister then visited the Department of Research and Innovation and the Information and Communication Technology Research Department. There, he met with responsible officials and final-year university students from various computer universities who are currently undergoing internship programs for the 2024–2025 academic year.
He had a friendly discussion with the students and provided guidance based on their needs. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister asked the students about their goals and gave instructions to meet their needs through coordinated efforts. He emphasized the aim of nurturing highly capable young IT professionals who can break through onto the global digital development stage and individuals the nation can truly rely on. To support the students, he also donated books.
