Relief Supplies: Assistance for quake-hit areas

Relief supplies have been donating for the communities, affected by the severe Mandalay earthquake. On 17th May, India-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce-IMCC donated 34 million kyat worth medicines and 20 million kyat cash assistance.

Likewise, Aorta Co., Ltd donated over 22.2 million kyat worth medicines and 15 million kyats. Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win accepted the donated items, and expressed words of thanks. Afterwards, the Union Minister and party visited the Central Medical Stores Depot to inspect the storing process of Mobile Operation Rooms, donated by People’s Republic of China and sample installation of operation room.

During the visit, the Union Minister instructed for timely transportation of these facilities to the hospitals in States and Regions which prone to natural disasters, along with the systematic maintenance plan.
