







A donation ceremony by a K-Pop group featuring South Korean artists, organized by CST Myanmar, for the rehabilitation of the areas affected by the recent Mandalay earthquake, was held at the Mingala Hall of the Yangon Region Government office on May 12.
The ceremony began with a one-minute silence in remembrance of the victims affected by the Mandalay earthquake that struck on March 28, 2025.
Following that, Mr. Cho Sung Woo, Director of CST (Myanmar) Co. Ltd from South Korea, gave a briefing on the donation made for the rehabilitation of the earthquake-affected areas. He explained that the donation came from the proceeds of a two-day fundraising bazaar held from May 10 to 11. A total amount of 85.37 million kyats was handed over to Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein by Ms. Kim Moon Hee, CEO of CST (Myanmar) Co. Ltd, and Mr. Jung Woo Chul, Director of KK Media Co. Ltd.
After receiving the donation, Chief Minister U Soe Thein expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the people affected by the recent powerful earthquake.
Finally, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials warmly greeted the donors and hosted a breakfast reception for the attendees.
