





Under the supervision of the Shan State Government, the Department of Information and Public Relations held a closing ceremony for summer basic courses in computer, spoken English, Chinese, Korean, painting, and chess at the multipurpose hall of the Community Centre in Taunggyi on May 12.
During the ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung stated that organizing summer courses at the Community Centre for youth development plays a significant role in nurturing the most vital resource of a country’s human resources by enabling young people to use their time meaningfully and productively.
Following that, the Chief Minister, along with State Ministers, State Advocate General, and the Secretary of the State Government, presented course completion certificates to the trainees and certificates of honor to the instructors who contributed with dedication and goodwill.
Next, on behalf of all trainees, one student expressed words of gratitude. After that, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the operations of the public library at the Community Centre and distributed exercise books and snacks to the children.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party visited the area near the canal in front of Shu Khin Thar Park in Sao San Tun Ward, Taunggyi, where they received a briefing from the head engineer of the Township Development Committee on the plans to upgrade and beautify the area. The Chief Minister instructed the planting of trees and requested the works to be carried out before the rainy season, adding any necessary inputs.
