Relief Measures: Distribution of electricity and housing arrangements

Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw and party on 10th of May visited 230-KV Pyinmana substation where officials from Department of Power Transmission and System Control reported on the power distribution from Control Room and Switch Yard, staff housing damaged by Mandalay earthquake, status of renovation and reconstruction, and container houses to be built in the compound of station.

In his response, the Deputy Minister said it is necessary to conduct the maintenance in line with the SOPs and to coordinate arrangements for availability of water, electricity and sanitation. 

At the 33/11 KV PaungLaung Substation (Extension), officials from Electric Power Generation Enterprise clarified the damages in Control Room and Switch Yard, and condition of power distribution, in which the Deputy Minister instructed to distribute electric power to teaching camps and exam centers during the matriculation exam, to conduct maintenance of substations and power lines before the rainy season and to pay attention of work site safety measures.
