Academic Visit: MOE Union Minister meets with teachers

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe along with the Deputy Minister U Nay Myo Hlaing and officials visited No 4 Basic Education High School in Ahlon Township on May 9 to meet the teachers who are attending courses for Diploma in Education and Pedagogy programme.

There, the Union Minister said that the answer sheets of the matriculation exam were destroyed due to March 28 Mandalay earthquake and matriculation exams will be reorganized to identify skill and quality of the students. Currently, revision exercises are being taught to the students in collaboration with tutors from Education Degree Colleges and Universities, and basic education teachers.

As the basic education sector plays pivotal role for the country, teachers are urged to nurture their students to become reliable citizen for the country. Then, the Union Minsiter and party proceeded to No. 1 Basic Education High School in Lanmadaw Township and inspected the preparation of dining room.
