Electoral Process: Union Election Commission meeting

The Union Election Commission held a coordination meeting on electoral process for the successful holding of the upcoming election on 9th May at the Union Election Commission Office.

Commission Chairman U Ko Ko said that the voting methods for the upcoming election will be different, with the use of electronic voting machines. The voting machines have been tested and inspected repeatedly to ensure safety and security without any mistake, and achieving trust by the voters.

The Commission Chairman added that the use of these machines will only be successful if they are implemented in cooperation with the help of region and state governments. This was followed by the reports on measures being implemented, and arrangements made regarding voting machines as well as the clarification on the steps to follow when storing voting machines.
