Defence Sector: Meeting with Russian Deputy Defence Minister

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maugn Aye visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow on Thursday.

The Deputy Prime Minister laid wreath at the tomb together with the Defence Ministers for other countries. In the afternoon, the Deputy Prime Minister met with the Russian Deputy Minister of Defence Colonel General Alexandra Fomin.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the humanitarian assistance provided by Russian Federation for the quake-hit communities. The two sides later discussed the cooperation in defence sector, enhancing collaboration in military technological field, sending scholar and cooperation in security and defence sector.
