Ethnic Affairs: Visiting the Regional Office and Meeting with ethnic people

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Khun Thant Zaw Htoo on May 7th visited the Bago Region Director’s Office of the Ministry to oversee the work processes.

He also met with the staff and urged all to make necessary measures for completion of projects to be implemented during 2025-2026 fiscal year. Cash assistance were also provided for the staff who were affected by the earthquake.

In the subsequent event, the Union Minister met with the Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations and stressed the importance of safeguarding the cultural heritage, and called for unity and harmony among the ethnic people for the interest of the nation. Representatives from Kayin, Asho Chin, Mon, Shan and Pa-O Literature and Culture Associations attended the meeting.
