








At the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin, a high-level Myanmar delegation led by the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, along with his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, departed in the morning on May 7, from the Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport on a special flight to attend the military parade marking the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945), which will be held in the Russian Federation.
At the airport, the delegation was seen off by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwet, Council Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe and wife, Council members, Union Ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-In-Chief and their wives, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, and responsible officials from the Embassy and Military Attaché of the Russian Federation in Myanmar.
Accompanying the Chairman and his wife on the trip were Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and wife, Council members General Maung Maung Aye, Dr. Ba Shwe, and Khun San Lwin, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Kyaw Swar Lin and wife, senior military officials from the Office of the Commander-In-Chief, Deputy Ministers, and responsible military and civil officials.
During the visit, the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister will attend the 80th Anniversary military parade and related events commemorating the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945). He will also hold separate meetings and discussions with other attendees. Throughout this goodwill trip, Myanmar aims to further enhance strategic cooperation and friendly relations between the governments and peoples of the two countries in various sectors, including economy and security.
Similarly, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the wife of the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, will hold discussions with Mrs. Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, and Mrs. Anna Nesterova, Chairwoman of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance in Russia, it’s learnt.
