Handover of donated items: Yangon Region CM accepted the donated items

On the evening of May 5 at 7:30 PM, Korean Air flight Airbus A330-300 arrived at Yangon International Airport from Incheon International Airport, South Korea, carrying a total of 13 packages (weighing 5,820 kilograms) of humanitarian aid donated by the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The shipment includes medical supplies, high-nutrition dry food, and water purification machines. These donated items were officially handed over at Yangon International Airport to Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, members of the region government, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

The handover was conducted by Mr. Gustavo Rocha de Menezes, Ambassador of Brazil to Myanmar, along with accompanying officials. After the handover, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and relevant officials inspected the aid materials. The donated items have since been forwarded to earthquake-affected areas for further distribution, it’s reported.
