





The fourth annual uninterrupted recitation of the Maha Patthana, organized by the Kachin State Government and the North Military Command, was held within the Aung Hnyin Shitpar Dhamma Hall at the precinct of Lawka Marn Aung Su Taung Pyae Pagoda in Myitkyina, on Tuesday.
Attending the ceremony were the members of Sangha led by the presiding Sayadaw of Wuntho Monastery Bhaddanta Ketumala, and members of the Kachin State Government, headed by State Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan.
Following this, Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan and his wife, along with the State High Court Chief Justice Daw Aye Aye Maw, state government ministers and their spouses, the State Advocate General, state-level departmental officials, and invited guests took the Five Precepts. State Minister for Economic Affairs U Myo Swe then presented the religious matters.
After that, the attending members of Sangha led the recitation of the Patthana, the foundational text of Buddhist conditional relations.
Later, the Chief Minister, his wife, and other officials offered alms to the Sayadaws at the Su Taung Pyae Monastery dining hall, it’s reported.
