Propagation of Sasana: Religious Titles conferred to the recipient Sayadaws

A ceremony to offer religious titles to the recipient Sayadaws took place at Maha Gandayone Monastery in Amarapura Township in Mandalay Region on Sunday.

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin offered Abhidhaja Aggamahā Saddhamma Jotika Title to the Chief Patron Sayadaw of the monastery, along with the insignia and 5 million kyats cash donation. Likewise, the Aggamahā Paṇḍita Title and insignia were offered to the Residing Sayadaw of Maha Myaing Monastery. This was followed by offering of donated items to the Sayadaws and listening to the Parittas.
