Global Media Dialogue: Second day session of WAVES 2025

The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 continued its second day with the Global Media Dialogue in Mumbai of India.

Deputy Minister of Information U Ye Tint attended the Dialogue, together with India’s Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, information ministers, deputy ministers, heads of media organizations and media officials from various countries.

The Dialogue began with a documentary photo session, followed by the opening remarks from Indian Information and Broadcasting Minister and External Affairs Minister. After an introductory video on WAVES 2025 was screened, Information Ministers, foreign ministers, and heads of global media organizations engaged in discussions.

The Deputy Minister also delivered a speech, emphasizing on sharing technologies which could help reduce gaps and provide crucial support to developing countries. He expressed hope to foster the development of creative industries alongside India through the fruitful outcomes of WAVES 2025 and the Global Media Dialogue.

This was followed by the screening of video messages from global countries and the release of the joint agreement of the Global Media Dialogue. WAVES 2025 will span four days from May 1st to 4th.
