Coordination Meeting: Plans for operation of local cement plants at full capacity

A coordination meeting was held on Friday regarding the operation of local cement plants at full capacity. Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than discussed that the March 28 earthquake has damaged some cement plants, and stressed the need to provide assistance for resuming their operation at full capacity.

Emphasizing the higher demand of cement, iron and steel, he urged all to assist those factories to get necessary inputs, while taking measures for quality control. Attendees reported on the production condition of cement plants and steel mills, input requirements and future plan.
