Buddha Pujaniya festival: Kachin State CM attended the ceremony of offering

The Buddha Pujaniya festival of ancient and historically significant Aungtawmu  Thakkyamarazein  An-Taw Shin Pagoda in Myitkyina, Kachin State, achieving of 30th Uninterrupted Recitation of Maha Pathana Dhamma Discourses for 9 days starting from April 22 and ceremony of offering provisions in the morning on May 1st.  

At the beginning of the ceremony, donors and attendees took the Five Precepts from the members of Sangha, took the Paritta Suttas and shared merits gained. The ceremony of offering provision s was held at the platform of the Aungtawmu Thekkyamarazein An-Taw-Shin Pagoda, and it was attended by Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and wife, Chief Justice of the State High Court, State government ministers and their spouses, State Advocate General, Secretary of the State Government, officials from various departments and local donors.

During the event, offerings of provisions and nine donation items were presented to the presiding Sayadaw, members of the Sangha, and novice monks.

Following the ceremony, at the Central Dhamma Beikman of An-taw-shin Hilly Region Buddhist Missionary, the Chief Minister and wife, responsible officials, and donors also offered the day's meal to the members of Sangha.
