Collective Blood Donation: Commemorating the Myanmar Fire Brigade Day

On May 1st, fire brigade members in Yangon Region commemorated the 79th Anniversary of Myanmar Fire Brigade Day, participating in collective blood donation event.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional ministers and concerned officials oversaw the blood donation event, held at the Yangon General Hospital. They heard reports by the Medical Superintendent and official. This was followed by provision of nutritious foodstuff to the fire brigade members who participated in the blood donation event.

Then, the Chief Minister and party toured around the hospital compound and oversaw the cleaning of bushes and drains along with the cleaning tasks of inside and outside of the hospital. The Chief Minister and party later inspected the road expansion along U Wisara road, heard reports by the officials and gave necessary instructions.
