Providing Assistance: MoE UM provided 3rd round assistances for staff

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin, on April 30, attended a ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw to distribute the third round of financial aid and food supplies to ministry staff and their families affected by the recent earthquake.

In his speech, the Union Minister stated that this marks the third assistance package provided by the Ministry of Energy for the staff and families impacted by the earthquake. Daily meals (lunch and dinner) are being supplied to affected staff families staying in temporary relief camps. 

Relief materials donated by the state and private donors have been distributed promptly and systematically.  He urged all staff to work together cooperatively during the ongoing recovery efforts. The Union Minister then provided cash assistance for two deceased staff members and two staff members who lost limbs in the disaster. Reconstruction support funds for the personnel whose apartments were destroyed in the earthquake.

The third round of financial aid, granting one hundred-thousand Kyats per person, totaling 255 million Kyats, along with food supplies to affected personnel.

Later in the afternoon, the Union Minister, accompanied by officials, inspected the operational status of temporary ministry offices set up after the earthquake, the construction progress of Modular Type shelters at Relief Camp No. 2 in Dakkhinathiri Township and directed responsible officials to address any remaining needs promptly.
