Bilateral Collaboration: MOHA UM received Ambassador of China

Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung received a delegation led by Ms. Ma Jia, Ambassador of China to Myanmar, at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on April 30.

During the meeting, the Union Minister expressed deep gratitude for China’s assistance, including the dispatch of search and rescue teams to areas affected by the Mandalay earthquake on March 28, as well as the provision of medical teams, medicines, and humanitarian aid for the affected people. 

The Union Minister and the Chinese Ambassador discussed China’s ongoing support for earthquake victims, enhancing cooperation between Myanmar and China in security and rule of law, combating cross-border crimes such as online gambling and telecom fraud, ensuring stability and peace in border regions, and strengthening friendly bilateral collaboration.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views in an open and cordial atmosphere, followed by a mutual exchange of commemorative gifts.
