Application for party registration: New Generation Wunthanu Party submitted its application

Under Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law, the New Generation Wunthanu Party, seeking to establish a new political party, formally submitted its application for party registration to the Union Election Commission (UEC) on April 29 in order to participate in the upcoming multi-party democratic general election.

New Generation Wunthanu Party Applies for Registration to Compete in Multi-Party Democracy General Election  As of today, 23 parties have applied under Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law for new party formation, 50 parties have applied under Section 25 for continued recognition and re-registration.

Total registered parties now stand at 73.The UEC is currently reviewing the New Generation Wunthanu Party’s application, and further updates will follow pending approval.
