Offering words of encouragement: MDY CM met with the students to retake matric exam

Mandalay Region Government Chief Minister U Myo Aung, along with Region Government Social Affairs Minister U Aung Kyaw Moe, Deputy Director-General U Kyaw Moe Tun from the Region Education Office, and other officials, visited students who will be retaking the matriculation examination from June 16 to 21. They offered words of encouragement and observed the close tutoring sessions being conducted in classrooms for students by subject. 

During the visits, the Chief Minister and officials went to No. (1) Basic Education High School in Aungmyethazan Township, No. (16) Basic Education High School in Chanmyathazi Township, and No. (1) Basic Education High School in Amarapura Township, as well as meeting students, teachers, and school principals at the township municipal halls in Tada-U Township. The Chief Minister stated that the purpose of the visit was to ensure that all necessary support is provided for students retaking the exam so they can complete it smoothly. He emphasized that Grade 12 is equivalent to the GCE-A Level in international education standards and urged students to persevere with determination despite the challenges posed by the recent earthquake. He assured them that the government would provide all necessary support to ensure they could take the exam comfortably and without difficulties.   

Following this, the Region Government’s Social Affairs Minister and the Deputy Director-General of the Region Education Office explained the support measures for students retaking the exam, including subject-specific intensive teaching by university professors, online learning options for those unable to attend in person, and access to lessons via the Education Channel. They also mentioned that preparatory camps have been running from April 28 to May 2 and that the matriculation exam results will be released uniformly. 

During these meetings, the Chief Minister and officials also distributed textbooks, notebooks, and stationery to the students while offering further words of encouragement.
